The EM Headquarters reorganization became effective October 11, 2009. This reorganization
reflects the EM management philosophy to empower the Field and supports EM management’s
vision of becoming an even more high-performing organization. I am extremely pleased
to announce the Headquarters office alignments and the leaders for these offices.
Attached is the EM organizational chart with the names of the leaders included as
well as the new mission and function statements.

Construction of Key Cleanup Project Gains Good Ground at SRS
Construction of a key cleanup facility at the Savannah River Site (SRS) is gaining some
serious ground given the remarkable building progress since Fall 2009. Construction and

EM has used its American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (ARRA) funds to touch tens
of thousands of citizens and help cleanup the environment. With active cleanup efforts
in over 20 States, ‘shovel-ready’ jobs are available coast-to-coast. To date, 57
job fairs have been held. A recent job fair in Augusta, Georgia drew 13,500 attendees
for available ARRA related positions at the Savannah River Site (SRS). As of September
14, 2009 EM has either created or saved 9,081 jobs using ARRA funding.
