Purpose of the BEMR Data Distribution Software

The purposes of the Baseline Environmental Management Report (BEMR) Data Distribution Software are:

  1. to make cost and volume data available to the public;
  2. to allow users to select a subset of data from the large quantity of data provided; and
  3. to provide a means to view and print the data, and to load the data into a spreadsheet or database.

The BEMR data fall into two general categories: cost and volume. Cost data represent the estimated costs (in constant 1996 dollars) to perform a given Environmental Management activity. Volume data represent the estimated volume of waste either currently in inventory or anticipated to be generated while performing a given activity. Both cost and volume estimates are provided on an annual basis from 1996 through 2070. Volumes of waste in inventory are provided as volumes generated in 1995.
