Small Arrow 09/2008 - X-701B Groundwater Remedy, Portsmouth, Ohio  Adobe PDF Document Techncial evaluation and recommendations report evaluating the four stages of the X-701B groundwater remedy for trichloroethene (TCE) contaminated groundwater and sediment. The work contains site visits, regulatory document review, and other reports. The team assessed the performance of an ongoing oxidant-based treatment technology, provideed specific recommendations for Portsmouth/Paducah Project Office and the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency to consider if oxidant injections are to be continued, and provided recommendation of alternatives to current remediation strategy.

Small Arrow 08/15/07 - Paducah C-400 Remedial Design Adobe PDF Document This report is a technical review of the 90 percent remedial design report and site investigation for thermal treatment of trichloroethylene (TCE) in the soil and groundwater in the vicinity of Building C 400 at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The Independent Technical Review team concluded that there are substantive unresolved issues and system design uncertainties, resulting in technical and financial risks to DOE, which can be resolved.

Small Arrow 02/09/07 - Hanford Remedial System Evaluation of 200-ZP/PW-1 Operable Units Adobe PDF Document EM performed a Remediation System Evaluation (RSE) of the 200-ZP-1/PW-1 groundwater pump and treat (P&T) system, as well as the vadose zone Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) system at the Hanford Site; this RSE will guide preparation, formulation, and optimization of the 200-ZP-1 and PW-1 draft FS submittals. This report includes the site conditions, site model findings, and recommendations.
