The Excess Facility Life Cycle Overview Flow Chart is comprised of 3 tiers of information for facility disposition. The 1st tier is the DOE order, the 2nd tier includes four guides flowing from the order, and the 3rd tier encompasses experience gained over several years of shutting down, deactivating, and decommissioning of facilities. Many methods and examples are presented that can provide a starting point for new excess facility projects.
